Error Received from HMRC
Errors Received (HM Revenue & Customs have rejected your submission for the below reasons)
Warning Message: Please check below to see what reasons HMRC give for rejecting this submission. Common faults are providing invalid national insurance, verification or UTR numbers. If you continue to receive these errors, please call the new cis online help desk on tel: (0845) 366 7899 or check the Gateway Solver manual. We can also support you - please turn on debug mode (options && settings) and send us the most recent .xml files from the My Documents\Gateway Solver\XML folder.
Warning Graphic:

What this means: Gateway Solver works. Your submission has been transmitted to the HMRC through the Gateway successfully without any problems. However, when HMRC inspected your monthly return they found some errors in what was written in the contents. HMRC are extremely picky about what data they will accept, so national insurance numbers that are not exactly correct (i.e. lower case) will cause a message like the one above. HMRC have rejected the CIS300 monthly return. Correct the data in Gateway Solver or your third party software and then try again.
What the example errors mean:
There are two errors above which show that for each subcontractor the value for the National Insurance Number was specified as "NONE". One National Insurance Number was set to '832' and one verification number is too long and one is too short.
What should I do?
Go back to your third party software and search for the records that are causing the failure, correct the error and try again. Once HMRC find no errors in your submission, it will be accepted!
